This all came about because Mari had to interview someone who owned an entire townhouse in the Back Bay with six-SIX-parking spaces. If you live here, you KNOW how nuts that is. And good for this person-she works hard and so does her husband (the hedge fund manager-I really need to get in on that). But here's the kicker-shes younger than us. Ouch.
What is is about people who go for it like that, and why don't we? We moved into other topics, like how we hate exercising, and don't understand people who "have" to do it (sooooo friggin' messed up), and have no hobbies, and no energy to do just about anything except eat and drink booze and watch TV, my 3 favorite things. And then about how we don't like to make new friends cuz you have to make the effort, and how our houses were dirty because cleaning is so boring and hard, and we just want to hang out and do nothing and........oh. Then we both sort of looked at each other, feeling slightly sheepish. But then, we got over it, because if drinking mojitos and watching Hoarders were highly respected income generating activities, we would be the 1%.
